Giles County Farmers Markets Application- Growers Certificate

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
The Giles County Growers Certificate is required for ANY Farmers Market in Giles County, and may be asked for when participating in markets outside of Giles County.

Please complete ALL information to receive a grower's/producers certificate for participating in Giles County Farmer's Markets.
As part of the application process, a farm visit or pictures of production may be requested by an Extension Agent prior to receiving your certificate.
There is no cost for the grower's/producer's certificate. Growers certificate is for raised goods, producers certificate may be given for craft or produced items.
A new application and certificate is needed annually (every calendar year).
Events are seasonal, and vary based on market. Each market has its own guidelines and manager. If you leave the state to be a vendor, there will be separate licensing requirements.

Farmers Market guidelines may require a specific percentage of goods to be produced locally, and/or disclosed to the public where the goods were acquired. Please be aware that purchased produce to resell is liable for sales tax.

Products made in a domestic kitchen must follow all current rules and regulations set by the applicable regulatory body. You are responsible and liable for adhering to all regulations, labeling requirements, cottage laws, and relevant sales taxes.

Please allow 7-10 business days for digital certificates after the farm/business visit. Certificates will be sent to the email address you provide below. A hard copy certificate will be mailed to you and is available at the UT TSU Extension office located at 132 S. 2nd. St. Pulaski, TN 38478.
