The Department of Psychology, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, offers undergraduate work leading to a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Students who are following the 2019 university catalog or later are eligible to declare this Neuroscience Major. Students who entered the university prior to 2019 and are following an earlier catalog have two choices:

(1) Students may choose to update to the 2019 catalog to declare the new Neuroscience major. (This is the most common option.)

(2) Students may choose to keep their current (pre-2019) catalog and pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Neuroscience.

If you have questions about your current catalog year or whether you should update to the 2019 catalog, please contact your academic advisor for assistance prior to completing this declaration.

All current students, regardless of catalog, are eligible to declare the Neuroscience minor.

If you'd like to declare a major or minor in Neuroscience, please complete the form below. Your student profile in MyUTK will be updated with your new declaration within two weeks. If you have questions about a declaration that you've already submitted, please contact Kaitlyn Hoelzle at khoelzle@utk.edu.
